There couldn’t have been a better day
It started out well but ended crazy
You had started like you used to
And I just knew things were going to go south
I hadn’t expected it would end like this
But I’m happy you didn’t come back again

If I were to start over, I won’t choose you again
Being with you deteriorated me by the day
My friends knew it would come to this
They couldn’t stay to watch me go crazy
It was a good idea moving south
Now I can do what and be whoever I want to

I don’t know what to throw this back to
But it’s a toast to feeling alive again
There’s something about the wind in the south
It makes you forget the sorrows of the past day
I laughed out loud as though I were crazy
