This is not a familiar phrase

Lies would hide the truth; I know
Love would come even in May
Lust is never part of the vow
Love is beautiful; they say

In a land where love is just a name
Innocent hearts being played for fun
Inflicting pain is a kind of game
Insomnia is just waiting for the sun

Not even poetry tells the truth
Never ending devices are what they wear
Nudging words for accolades from the youth
Noble poetry words just to soothe the ear.

Omitting this phrase is what I would not
Ode to a phrase that is not familiar to men
Old things shall pass away and things be new
On this note; death is a gift from nature to men.
