What the leaves will not remember

Green is the colour for good health.
There, rain is wealth,
trees don’t despair,
life is much fair.

They know it all but say it not
from fruit to rot,
then lies to love,
and birds to rove.

But if only they knew the sun;
who has a gun,
to plan their fall,
& take their all.
