This is my last favour

Read and study, impart your brain.
Much to be learned and non is waste.
Divers traditions; foods to taste.

Knowledge alone can break your chain.
Telling you of aliens from Mars.
Earning you a place amidst stars.

When kingdoms burn and kings are slain,
You’ll learn the science that heals the sick,
And know the secrets of the Greek.

Wisdom hides one in sight that’s plain,
Serving as warmth when others freeze.
Offering you power when all strength seize.

Giving you time and grace to train,
Making you great and bright; the sun.
This is my last gift to you, Son.
