Trapped; Locked Inside

Existing within the confines of a library called “Life”,
I see stars shining through blood stained window,
I hear thunders rumbling,
and lightening running across the never aging sky.

I stretched out my hand to touch,
But they’re far beyond my reach;
The power they possess,
And the freedom they enjoy.

Who makes the rules and keeps them?
Why am i locked in here without prior knowledge,
A memory of a past i never had,
Keeps flashing through my thoughts.

What freedom feels like,
I can’t tell, never felt free.
But these stars are telling me,
all i can’t find within the confines of this prison.
