Where Are You?

My heart yearns for something more than the physical.
I’m no more satisfied with mere living,
My mind isn’t resting because a great part of me is missing.
I’d prolly have to go searching through things mystical.

I’ve searched in the books and in the ground,
In things for peasants and for the crowned.

I came to realize I was searching for myself,
Or a piece of you that’s grown dusty like a book on the shelf. (dusty (abandon)
You promised you’d come back the last time we saw.
Since you left, I’ve been shattered in pieces and on the floor.
I’d wish you come back soon, my love.
And set me free, for I’ve suffered enough.
