Do Not Die Today

I pushed my face against the pane,
And watched the beauty of changing hues.
With heavy thoughts, my face turns blue.

If you cease to live I’ll go insane,
The weight will push me deep beneath the earth,
Squeezing out every single life and breath.

Do not forsake me now or ever,
Fulfill your promise to be here forever.
Even the purest of hearts holds disdain,
Not even time itself could clean the stain.
As you lie at my feet I will watch and pray,
To God and plead, that you do not die today.
