This Is Not Our War

This fire is already quenched,
let’s not reignite the woods.
The blood spills was a century ago,
unity is now our goal.
Missing students are not “Northerners”,
they are Nigerians, we are one.

High seats are not for the “son of somebody”,
they are for ” children of anybody”.
Religious wars are not ours to fight,
tolerance is the amour to wear.
Who rules next shouldn’t bring dispute,
it’s our choice to make.

This is not our war, it has already ended.
We should be united in diversity,
history books should be raised up to light,
so we see our forefathers were victorious,
this is not our war, it has already ended.
