Poetry: The Book Stuck In My Imagination

Na God say
Make him mama no like me
I no know how my life for be today
Because her pikin be pharmacist
She think say him book pass Soyinka

Me ma i no sabi quick quick
I just dey follow follow
The boy ma dey follow o
But true talk
Na him mama him dey follow pass
As na later I come hear say
The woman say I no yellow reach
Him son must marry oyinbo tomato

Na so him go find yellow tomato
The one wey ripe well well
Them marry
I cry small,come forget
Come look for my own blacky bonboy

Small time
Many years come pass
I come dey waka for Facebook
I come jam am
I come look am
I look am well well
The thing wey my eyes see
My mouth no fit talk am
E be like day medicine no gree sell
Fine boy no fine again
Fine boy teeth no complete again
Fine boy body come stain
Fine boy come wohwoh

I open my mouth
I no fit close am
Surprise come tanda for my face
I come dey thank God
Say him mama no like me
How i for do?
I for no fit live for him house o
Him poverty dey smell
As him just look anyhow
Like say lion dey vex
Like say police dey go transfer
And them no arrange their load well
