Poetry: Prison Bars!

Prison Bars

I cannot today!
I cannot leave my demons unattended
Because needless to say
They are the bars that hold me bound

This iron is made of flesh
Fuelled by blood vessels
Sustained by reasoning
I can’t see a way out
So I refuse to find one
I believe things will never change
So when presented with an opportunity
I’ll rather enthrone pessimism as king
This prison bars are my mind
