21-March-World-Poetry-Day-World

Hey!
Yes you
Today of you I will speak
For your call with my ears I picked
How beautiful is your face unseen?
Smiling at my boring self, how more friendly can you be?
Moving from generation to generation how old could you be?
Your friendship knows no boundaries
From the dead and living to the young and old
I admire how your story is being told
You’ve been in existence for ages but your skin never folds
Your kinky hair wheeled my thoughts
Molded into words and built my trust
You shook hands with me, stained my hand with inspiration
Introduced my fear to my confidence, that I never mentioned
Today not like other friends, I bake you a happy Birthday
With no oven or flour, just made from Heaven
I love you poetry
