All I ever wanted

photo-1531913223931-b0d3198229ee

To live and not think about dirt
Or the pressures that seek my breath
Deal with loss’s fear, they only flirt
With my mind to make me alert
Too alert not too miss being hurt
By dramas acted by the skirt.
All I ever wanted in shirt,
One who would help stand all the hurt
A living, real and breath-filled vert
Who to my lip, would be inert
My weaknesses, she would divert
My loyalty, I would assert
For as long as the sun lives, breath
Of my breath, you’re my only pert
All I wanted was a soul flirt.
