The Dry Sea

redhillbay-3

The wind speaks with a twisted tongue
Understood by old ones among
us, through haze they see with weak eyes
Telling of time before where lies can’t penetrate.

The Times marched on us with armies
With all sorts, blowing kisses
To kill the old ones among us
Wisdom of the old is a plus we don’t possess.

This old sea were we once drank from
Now lacks all the dance and the drum
The soothing voice that pleased spirits
The ancient sea has lost lyrics to all of life.
