Originally, you are a corner girl
Taped to the background clapping
You became quite the opposite
I cannot polish my words when
I write of you, or when I say thank you
I cannot be fancy or be a poet with you
I can only be proud of you.

Weird things keep our mouths open
Dry our saliva up as the breeze passes
Things we do not understand
Always look beautiful to us
Things we can learn from
Are always held above our heads
Even if we cannot reach them
We are grateful that we have
A reason to look elsewhere aside within
To freshen our view.
