I will not call out your name
My voice has become too familiar, so you ignore
To say that these images are definitive of you means there is compression.
The pixels on your face cannot be captured
With no words, and my thoughts to myself
I will sit by the window, awake in my sleep waiting
If the sun passes then I’ll wave
When it falls, I’ll wander away
If the rain swings by, I will drink
Until I smell you, hear your shoes clawing at the ground
Walking towards my door
And I will pretend to have slept the whole time
And act surprised at the wet floor
