A jaw-breaking miracle
Leaping from ear to ear
of how a sorceress wrapped her prayer
of forgiveness to the body of a mantis,
threw it out to the grass and felt at ease.
Deep sighs, slow breaths, sometimes
peace is in the words of a confession song,
an acapella rendition and a repeated prayer,
because new words do not quite hold meaning,
New words are pretentious, forcing an accent.
A lucid smile, leaping from mouth to mouth
The town has found peace.
