Let go

how we moved from time to time
is an anecdote inspired by more time
first was the faith in feelings and films
the comfort in weakness and scenes
the belief in a tear disguised as tears
then we packed our remnants and left
left behind the layers that hid who we are
came to a point where the time gossip
and what we hide finds a way to speak
the first to be accused was only a decoy
the first to cast the stone isn’t the strongest
the last to share a smile would walk a mile
then we packed our remnants and left
left the smiles that do not get to the belly
to dine with our dilemmas in defiance
to admit the walls that keep us apart
to say see you soon and wish for a blue moon
to unpack our remnants and then remain.
