I never drank alcohol
But if i did
It would be like the intoxication i feel
When i drink from your love.
Sometimes,you taste like honey
All sweet, without a care in the world
Then bitter when you’re broke
Without means to care for us
We found out sooner than expected
That love was not enough.
It’s like a plant when watered,
It flourishes, blooming in all its glory
But the scorch of the sun comes
Withers the sparks until nothing is left .
