hey, wisdom,
tell me why it is so wise
for everybody good to die.
tell me why it is thought
to be foolish to cry.
tell me why we accept
loss as a win.
i thought lying was a sin.
since when is it okay
to be one step away
from knowing something
to knowing nothing
in the grave. it is grave
that wise men are fooled
into finding a good reason
to grieve and be grieved for.
it is reasoning slowed
and even more foolish in an ode.
