it’s a man’s generosity
the will to freely spend
time, money or words,
it’s a gift that you pay
attention and affection,
it’s a woman’s choice
to ignore others for one,
it’s a mother’s desire
to tie a gèle and dance,
it’s a grandparent’s dream
to add a little grand one,
it’s society’s take
to praise or raise a voice,
it’s a traveller’s note
to write in for the library
or say it for folklore,
it’s the clap of two hands
made by two different hands,
it’s the effort that counts
memories, either good or better.
