i have called you mine this long
hoping it would convince you
to see what no one else has seen
or maybe I’m trying to convince myself
that what isn’t is,
this pretentious act is becoming one
with me. i fail to see anything else.
this page cannot carry words truer than this
that i fail to see you beyond
the masquerade you have assumed
is a failure on your path
