Bad things happen to good people

it’s nothing personal.
why our brains are
unsatisfied with randomness
is quite the issue.
it’s tricky.
theodicy itself is dicey.
for the same reason
anything happens,
bad happens to good people
as do good to bad people.
i think the universe cares
less of our judgment
of bad as we care of good.
but everything has been
dragged into faith, fate
and the clueless
therapist
