An old man with an elf

which would it be
if you were to become;
a towering Christmas tree
or a giant remugient drum

wish would have been
for a box of toys strewn by an elf
suffice to say, i mean
a feast, partly for God, mostly for self.

the old man, the deer
and a truck or mixed feelings
the season, it’s clear
restores memories that define the season.
