Unburden thyself
Just angry.
The F word’s been bouncing around;
In the walls of my head,
Missing my mouth.
But if you took a good look in my eyes,
You would see the Fire burning inside.
You’d notice the smoke from my ears;
Emotions, begging to be unleashed.
But outside, I am this calm, still water.
With a smile that carves like death,
And nostrils rising and falling at will,
You’d think it was mannerism.
I’m just angry;
Consumed.
Razed.
Enraged.
And that’s okay.
Emotions are meant to be felt,
I think of my anger like food in the mouth;
Something to savour, and taste.
Not just swallowed and digested.
So, however long it takes the fire,
Let her burn. Put me up in smoke;
I am a phoenix anyway, I will be reborn.
