your breath is your dearest
not that of another
you belong just where you are
there’s no place for you elsewhere.

the option was to pick a side:
to walk away or stay for a ride
none is better off on their own
but the one you have made.

if they don’t choose you
burn some weights
take a walk, jog, run
for you, for yours, for life.
