Communicate

to put off the weight,
take off a few pounds
if it’s not light enough,
take off some more pounds
take everything off
till your body becomes transparent.
plenty talk no go full basket
na why them no dey talk put inside.
weight is necessary,
too much of it is detrimental
to the carrier,
and their immediate surrounding
assumption is making an ass
out of you, and out of me
clarity is better than cloudiness
even magic spells require a voice
there’s an opening,
a relief that comes with speaking
it allows for more content
to find their place, and settle.
