On a crescent

Girl on the Moon

She sings cheerless songs
She sits above the cloudless sky
She stops her tears from falling,
Holding them with blinks of many colours.
For the crowd does not care
Even if her tears pour like rain
There will be no bottles, no buckets to fetch her priceless tears
To quench her wildest fears
She dreams of heaven
A place where her soul will find rest.
