Days in a week

I got married in church
On a Friday evening
Just the reverend father
And a couple of friends and family .
Dad came to this world on a certain Saturday
He left on Monday
As though he spent only two days
But he was here for two decades .
All the days of the week
Are like pages of a blank cheque
What you write on it
How much you need
And what you want to spend
Can be as large as you heart
Tuesday and Thursday kisses
Are as different or similar
Depending on whose kiss it is
Sundays are made for jollof rice.
