Days in a week

Isaiah 48:22.

one may choose to
wed on a Wednesday
or choose to
come from Africa.

it doesn’t matter
if it’s the first day
or not, Monday can
be a ‘mourn day’.
death takes no sabbath.

being born on a day that
starts with “T” doesn’t mean
one would be thankful for life.

not being excited for Friday
is because you are single
and nobody loves you
and your bad character.

the sun will not shine
just because it’s Sunday,
one may choose to rest
on a Saturday morning or
choose to be African. again.

the title of this poem is why
the weekend is never enough.
