Silence requires that you talk

And just like that,
the tongue zips

itself into a
muteness loud

enough to be
heard. And then

everything else
speaks, limbs,

bones, eyes,
breath, hair.

Tongue for
dinner, neatly

sliced, seasoned
for sold out ears.

Sealed lips but
the twitching of

fingers is enough
sign language.

Talking is relative,
so is silence.
