I’ll risk it all

I may have lost time
shedding emotions and
seeking attention from women
who never lent a listening eye,
to be persistent is to build Rome
or to risk being called a simp, I know,
but if I find a woman whose
eyes poke my emotions to smile,
it may be trying to drown oil in water, or not,
I’ll still build Rome if Italy permits.
