I’ll risk it all

i have come to understand
that to live or to die
is not a choice i made
i was born without my consent
too many have died without wanting to.

i cannot leave time to chance
i will not be tossed around
if i did not chose to be born
and will not be allowed to chose how i die
then i must choose how i intend to live.
