it is like this:
there is a sacrament of bodies;
an ill-usage of holy
grails in the sacristy.
a boy that knows how
to enter a boy was taught
by a man he calls father.
father swings incense incense,
quotes the bible, “iron sharpeneth iron”
eyes planted on an altar boy.
altar boy’s eyes fixed
on the body of a wooden saviour—
not wishing to be saved
wishing to be touched
instead.
