Abusing Children

I was only nine
and was entrusted to you
to look after me, be a guide,
you took away from me
to satisfy your cravings,
you took away from me
the feeling that comes with a first kiss,
the guilt that comes with certain deeds,
“come. take off your trousers.”
“don’t tell anybody. lie on top of me.”
you took away from me
the feeling that comes with one’s first.
sometimes I wonder why
you had other legal options
but chose me, a boy that was nine.
