For love we will

the same as the trees would do to the wind
and the same as our bodies do the rain
let’s remove ourselves, let’s get quarantined
let’s love until hate can no longer complain

i could write about sheets and memories
intertwined fingers, oil and oral heat
wild romance that destroys its remedies
but these are levels that we’ve since complete

but love is both a person and a place
some days we’d hug, some days we’d visit
sometimes it is an action, it’s a race
in the end, there’s a trophy we give it.

the same as your love has become to me
the same way I’d respond if you agree.
