To memories we may remember

The bad ones are few, the good ones plenty
Little handshakes and the nights where we laughed
When for your thoughts I would give a penny
Conversations like a well woven craft

I remember the tree that gave us shade
Day or night, under its shadows we stood
I want more pictures, but quickly they fade
You fed me love, I knew no other food

I hum to the lyrics of your ringtone
Like a lullaby would, it soothes my nerves
When the world goes silent, it has me blown
Not just rhythm, but the feelings it serves

I hope you remember them all and smile
For me, it’s joy when I walk down this aisle
