Accept. Except.

unless we are willing to accept life
is a swing, we’ll… except of course
one chooses to apply a brake
to take a break from living,
our souls remains ours to sell
our minds may be free or in a cell
however we choose to dye our hearts
is what will remain of us after we die.
I wish I had more than a cent to lend
