Flirting and Disaster

and the country Nigeria,
even after such a tribal war
is flirting with disaster
dancing naked on a power line
strangling, suffocating herself.

woe unto he beaten twice
never one day shy
still parading itself
in lost and forgotten
regalia.

there are marriages to be blessed
but the priest prefers to sleep,
to drink and make merry
if help is not sought
chaos and more chaos would brew.
