Aware. Free.

the stomach can only face front
there’s no haggling,
no poetic gathering
what should be must be
it is an unwritten constitution.

to be free is to be aware
that nothing is truly free
there’s a bounty on every head
there’s a price for every choice
kill or get killed.

light is knowledge
so thinking should free you
drinking should quench a thirst
before every man, a test
to prove to himself that he’s man enough.
