If we must die, we fight!

If they keep stabbing our bleeding wounds
Unveiling healing scars
Causing wars on earth
And won’t let peace rest in mars
If they’re placing nails and thorns under our feet
And against our heads, raising bars.
Bringing down family trees
Cutting off their branches
And pulling out their roots
We must yet never surrender
Even with unraised hands
If they keep on burying us
We must not stop raising our skulls off the sands
Until we die, if we must die
We keep standing on bent knees
Enduring the stings, if we want the honey of the bees
Rewriting decrees
Reciting the creeds
Until we die, if we must die
We must not die raising our hands.
