One thing i believe

the brows raised yesterday
are the reasons for today
are the reasons we sit
to bust a nut to crack open
our inner thoughts, to think

for our tongues are pens
and our actions are mirrors
we are advised to rest whenever
the burden of conscience pricks
our minds, frightens our shoulders

this is because every step we take
leaves a print that looks like blue
that another may consider to look up to
so, whether one chooses to live or not
death is always at the bottom of the pot
