The Blanket

a child that is being fed
doesn’t know there is scarcity
that’s why pigs have become poster boys
for bad guys, bad government,
wrong labeling
from eating stones to eating anything their cord can chew
they’ve tasted everything,
the good, the bad, and the ugly
even life itself is not safe in their jaws
but them no dey tell person
e get why eye dey open by himself
and belle dey gree digest pepper
there’s a story called a fiction
until it writes itself in everyone’s book.
