Peace and all its enemies

There is a thought that steals sleep
Weighs heavier than concrete
An image that prolongs worry
Wishes that tears through our body
The branches our hands cannot reach

Cold sweat is the water of anxiety
A scar can become the map of shame
To have fears is a harbour a Frankenstein
You can buzz like a bee and find no nectar
The things you hear can become deep-rooted weeds

Peace is fragile
A day old chick that squashes when you touch
Your shouts should limit where your mind goes
Your nose must not dive into easy drops
Today is not the day to read the headlines.
