Peace and all its enemies

If one could stare at time in the face,
Calm a raging storm and
Put a roaring thunder to sleep
The night would know peace.

Stumbling upon rocks,
Trampling on egos here and there
Even silence draws attention
It is the cost of a life
that chooses to go on.

Planting kola doesn’t spell peace
Breaking it doesn’t guarantee either
Nations cannot just be
It would mean that they’ve failed
For a table to draw men,
Issues must raise their feet.
