Modern Day

gone are those days
when a woman’s thought
was/is considered nought
it was/is an archaic phase
the gods were evidently not okay

society is still a joke, a play
a woman is still to some, a prey
daily, they go through a lot
like they owe compensation to anyone’s gaze
minors and even those whose hair is grey

this is a tale with a heartbreaking plot
one that mostly never ceases to amaze
how some try to justify, e gas to be craze
why be unfortunate? why choose to go astray?
