These are Vows

these words were planted in my heart
and engraved in my tongue
the day I found you was when I knew love
is a sycamore tree hoisted on ants with wings
it wasn’t possible for my kite to take flight
until your winds stopped my night.
I am into you
that is why we are on this altar
so my mind will burst open like a cheese ball pack.
tonight is a new story
and the flourishing love and its glory
so from my heart I want you to hear
my heartbeat closes
when nature serves you
my feasting is slow
because of how you glow.
So let the world know
my lips will not be a stow-
away thread knitting the femur and toe
so this is to you my pot of rice.
A vow I must keep
your inside I must eat
and push with red wine
