This is how we should choose to become a friend-
Loyalty should not blind the eyes from the truth,
Memories should surpass the money we spend.

Sarcasm isn’t an excuse to be uncouth,
It’s true we reflect the company we need
But every man is to the deeds in his booth

We don’t always get to look before we leap,
Affection is a seed we should learn to sow,
Life is fair, we decide what we want to reap.

Calling someone a friend is taking a vow,
Laugh with me and have my back behind my back,
All that we have is all that is here and now.

Live to ease your conscience, you don’t need a plaque,
This and a little more and we are on track.
