Proven enough?

the mice will chase for cheese
so hunger may decrease its bite
the chase will be a fight
for food, a rich respite measure
first, it is for pleasure
not for want of treasure to pile
or for things that are vile
or those that last a while and die
do not prove, only try
do it all for your eye(s) alone.
to a dog is a bone
