For Forgiveness

Forgiveness is freedom
When bitterness stings
I’m hard on myself when I stumble
Necessity makes peace enough
A knife pushed through my back
I try not to imagine
To forgive and forgive
When the dreamer forgave dream killers
Those who dredge up the grudge
I’m thankful for health and youth.
