When we eat with a closed mouth and open eyes
How then can we be wise?
When we feed our minds on what buries us
How then should we rise?
The screen we see does not screen us.
The movies we watch do not move us.
So many thrillers in the cinemas.
Yet our lives are left not thrilled,
But agony and sorrow has filled us.
We are carried away,
Away into captivity.
On our comfortable couch,
Sitting as slaves, pleased
And hailing our captors as actors.
